Gift of an Ordinary Day * Day 33

Tea Kettle by Angie Friedel
Tea Kettle, a photo by Angie Friedel on Flickr.

I purchased this tea kettle because it reminded me of something a little old lady would have in her kitchen. Not that I want to be a little old lady right now, but a little part of me longs for the days when I can mess with people like they do: wearing mismatched earrings to see if we’ll call them out on it, farting in public, dominating multiple parking spaces with their Cadillacs, handing out pennies to trick-or-treaters, and falling asleep when they are bored with a conversation. I suppose I could start now, but I don’t have a Cadillac.
