book [boo k]

noun

  1. A handwritten or printed work of fiction or nonfiction, usually on sheets of paper fastened or bound together within covers. Often purchased at airports with the intent to read on the plane but the buyer instead plays Candy Crush Saga on their smart phone. Can be found collecting dust alongside intended reader’s bed, only to be sold for 50 cents at a rummage sale. Reader eventually ends up purchasing the audio-book to listen to in 10 minute increments on the way to and from work since that is the only time she is allowed peace and quiet.
